...Then what else should a JW parent forbid under the same rationale? (i.e. Jehovah hates magic)
I started a mental list and it boggles the mind. Here are a few things I thought of:
1. The Iliad and the Odyssey by Homer
2. The King Arthur stories (Howard Pyle and others)
3. The entire Oz series by L. Frank Baum
4. The entire Narnia series by C.S. Lewis
5. The entire Middle Earth series by J.R.R. Tolkien
6. Alice In Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass by Lewis Carroll
7. The entire Earthsea series by Ursula Le Guin
8. The entire Riddle-Master series by Patricia McKilip
9. The entire Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling (No surprise there..)
10. The entire Shannara series by Terry Brooks
11. The entire Chronicles of Prydain series by Lloyed Alexander
12. The entire Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan (James Rigney Jr.)
13. The entire Keys to the Kingdom series by Garth Nix
14. The entire Song of the Lioness series by Tamora Pierce
15. The entire Thomas Covenant series by Stephen Donaldson
(Feel free to add to this list)
Anybody who doubts that JW's have a book-burning, anti-intellectual streak in them simply does not know these people
