Results vary, but it could be that if any of your relatives left, you would find that there were decades worth of events to discuss. Although you may have much reason to be bitter, it sounds like your life has turned out very well and you don't want to poison that with anger. And you never know but that kindness and forgiveness on your part might save a life from JW bondage.

Having only started awakening after 40, despite decades of knowing not all is right or well, I must admit feeling somewhat envious of your early start in seeing straight through these deceivers.

I hope you enjoy your stay and make some good friends here on JWN.
JWN can at times be a real challenge to those used to an environment where everyone thinks, acts and speaks in "perfect" sync, at least publicly.

Suraj Khan It's a shame that you are estranged from your family. Sometimes it’s a price we have to pay, unless we want to follow like sheep.

Welcome! My brother shunned me for 18 years, and then he called me out of the blue one evening to tell me that he was no longer a jw. And the void between us closed so quickly that you could hear it being sucked through a vaccum, LOL!
