If you settle all the time, why risk losing? If you have zero liability, why would you settle?
Blogger asks why have WTS never lost a child abuse case? Well, I guess Jehovah's Witnesses can't use that excuse EVER again!

Blondie - if you can find the quote - part of my personal healing has been to throw out my litterature - I can only say what I remember.
I think the weasel words are in the "SUED for child abuse " statement - since suing somebody is a civil court case seeking reparation. If they had said only 11 elders had been charged TRIED and convicted it would be very different.
Of course most witlesses would not pick up on the legal difference between being sued, or tried.
