I was thinking the greg chiarini stuff where he shows that there are actors being used in the news . For 911 it was clear to me that they were using actors and fake news , don't know about you.

I told my wife the more the borg tells them not to watch the news or brings out what they are saying is from satan maybe just maybe many who are still in may start to question the WT. The reason I say that is I know for a fact many know about past and present child abuse that has taken place. Why do I say that? Because they know friends, relatives, their own children and other children who have gone through this crap. Put they have kept silent about it because they were told to. This might be the firestorm the borg cannot stamp out. Only time will tell. Totally ADD

I agree completely. Once the announcement is made by the society (that the media is controlled by Satan)......that is all the rank and file will need. They will happily then dismiss the court case as proof that the devil is persecuting the organization.
Some will even look at such a timely reminder as "proof" that Jehovah is directing

That's exactly what happened when Dateline ran their story about it years ago. The congregations were all encouraged to refrain from watching it. Yet, the JW's are the first to jump on the bandwagon in proclaiming the evils of the Catholic church because of their child abuse history when they're gong door-to-door.
There's only one reason I wish I were still in the process of fading...and that is so that I could be there when my JW "partner" brings up the Catholic's molestation record to a Catholic householder and gets an ass-reaming about the Watchtower's OWN pedophilia coverups. Much like when they took the Harold Camping ball and ran with it, only to be reminded of their own sordid history of false predictions.
Then again, I'd settle for being a fly on the wall...

I'm going to use this reasoning with my Mom:
If she tries to take the $ocieties side (and I know she will) and say the media is lying or twisting it I'll ask her, "Well if that's the case are they lying about the Catholics, Mormons, Scientologists and other religions too?"
There just isn’t any explaining your way outta this conundrum, and that’s the point! It doesn't matter how she answers, yes or no will be problematic.
If she says no I'll then go into that maybe the other religions aren't as bad as we thought since the only thing we know about them comes from mass media and the $ociety, and the $ocietie’s getting their information from the same places the media is (RED FLAG!).
If she says yes I'll just reply, "Well that's a bit hypocritical don't cha think? I mean what incentive do they have to lie about only us and no one else? OK, so maybe Satan is controlling the media, but don't you think it's our individual responsibility to go and research what they're sayin' about us to see if it's true or false? If this is a public case and records can be checked but the $ociety tells us not to look beyond what they're telling us then doesn't that raise doubt in your mind? It does for me and I'd rather know the facts so I can be certain that I’m following the truth." (Uh-oh this might shut her brain down.)
