Glander -- apparently not. When they left it unattended (before the second egg was laid), the biologist associated with the project explained that it was probably not viable, perhaps due to being damaged by a talon, or not fertilized.
LKL - Thanks for posting that! I have been busy, and only able to check in occasionally. I had noticed earlier this morning that the little one was not being fed. Phew! :D

The hatchling is growing stronger, and it's a joy to watch mama giving her/him tiny bits of fish, whilst having her meal. Dad is doing his job, bringing food to the nest, and spelling off mama when she needs to FLY!

Heaven, glad you joined our club!
Isn't it just amazing to watch? Mama so carefully feeds the little one, bit by bit.

Hi tal! Thanks. It is quite a wonder to watch. It's dark here now but still light there (they look to be about 2 hours behind where I am). So the cam is facing west. There are sun rays shining on the babies right now.

I have in the past watched a peregrine falcon nest on a ledge on a high rise building in Winnipeg years ago. Also an eagle nest cam and an orca cam. Can't get enough.
