If he's still in good stnading, any info on the congregation where he attends? Might be a good info to include in comments on various lawsuit articles. If anyone has specifics, please post them for the world to see.

What about the old standby, DF'd for "bringing reproach upon Jehovah's name"? Wonder why they aren't they DF'ing him for that?

Well, let me ask a serious question about this. The JWs establish a judicial committee to work through these sorts of things. Once they've worked through it and decided the punnishment (or not), then wouldn't he be a JW in good standing? I admit I'm not sure how this specific and particular thing is an issue. Please note, there is plenty else here to complain about; I'm asking about just this part.

I know of 3 jws that confessed abusing children BUT told the elders they were REPENTANT, thus the elders decided not to DF but in 2 cases publicly removed (because it was already public and they had been convicted by the secular authorities) and one case privately reproved. I did not agree with this but it's not like the elders consult a lowly woman on these matters.

*** w96 4/15 p. 29 Questions From Readers ***There are serious sins that congregation elders have to handle, such as stealing, lying, or gross immorality. They try to correct and reprove such wrongdoers, moving them to repentance. But if someone unrepentantly practices grave sin, these elders apply the divine direction to disfellowship the wrongdoer. (1 Corinthians 5:1-5, 11-13)

*** w87 9/15 p. 13 par. 13 Breathing This World’s “Air” Is Death-Dealing! ***And this does not include the even higher number reproved for immorality but not disfellowshipped because they were sincerely repentant.—Proverbs 28:13.

    ----------------------------------

Remember, David committed 2 capital offenses under the law but was not executed because the WTS said he repented; but remember the Law did not offer that to other Israelites. A person's fate before a JC of jw elders can vary from congregation to congregation based on many things, variables not factual.

    Sulla,

Yes...and no.... he might be on "restrictions". I was an elder, and one molester and his wife (who had always stood by her man) who moved in from another area..away from his victims, sat in the 2cd row of the hall and piously held their hands up to give long winded pious answers at EVERY meeting. I wanted to puke. ( I had a secret longing to take that guy in "rural territory" and dump him in a septic tank).

I can't find an Oakley Ca hall. Oakley might attend the Brentwood Hall......

I can add this maybe help the confusion, just because a secular court finds a jw guilty of child abuse, the congregation holds their own separate judicial event, a JC and if the elders determine that person is not guilty, it doesn't matter what the secular court decides...so it is possible and I have seen it where the JC finds the person not guilty and the court finds them guilty, even sending them to prison, it is what the elders decide, not to df or reprove, that determines their standing in the congregation.

    Oh the irony!

They let this pervert stay in, in other words he is in 'good standing'.

But Barbara Anderson is quickly disfellowshipped before the airing of the show that is exposing this same problem.

    Maddness.

Here is a San Francisco Chronicle article stating that, according to his attorney, Kendrick is now a member of a JW congregation, although they don't say which one, as well as a forum thread about it:
