From what I have seen, it won't be good. Many doctors refuse to take Medicare patients because of reduced compensation. Also Medicare will probably be reduced because the money will be given to other programs. I receive SS now and do not apologize for it because I have paid into it for years. I still work fulltime and expect to work as long as my body can take it. Three of my siblings who are past 65 are still working. Two of them, ages 72 & 78 are also on SS and like me, have paid into it for years. We will not be able to retire and stop working at 65 like our parents did, unless you have saved a lot of money or have an excellent pension.

snowbird, Ecclesiastes 12 got it right. Growing old is not for sissies.

To cause road rage? To fiddle with their purse at the grocery checkout? To give everyone advice on healthy bowel movements? To turn the answer to a simple question into a tedious story about their grandkids? To give too much information about body functions, including their sex life?
