How Awful, how un-christian beheavior, how horrible for believers with a conciense.
The WTBTS, the corporations, the PR staff in Brooklyn / Patterson gave no official comment about the child abuse case.
Only the lawyer of the "local congregation" gave some remarks.
Humiliating for the victims and also for fellow believers with a conciense and good hart. They only can questioning why the WTBTS is hiding.
You're mistaken. They have issued their official statement: SILENCE!
Sorry, but it's entirely predictable. It would surprise me if they DID say something about it!

If they are innocent, they should say something to comfort the Witnesses. If they are guilty, they should apologize. The fact that they are saying nothing reveals how evil they are.
It's all about their image, NOT about being Honest, Truthful or Real.
Anything they say could work against the appeal process. It they apologize, they admit they did it. If they deny any wrongdoing, they only fuel the flames of anger. It would also keep the pedophilia problem in the public eye that much longer.
The WTBTS is too embarrassed and ashamed to comment, pure and simple.
The scripture says: ‘….I am speaking to move you to shame……but brother goes to court with brother, and that before unbelievers.’ (1 Cor 6:5,6).
Candace Conti tried to talk to those in charge in the organization (‘The Holy Ones’) but her cry for help fell on deaf ears. So Candace was forced to take her concerns to the court ‘before unbelievers’.
The Society failed to follow the apostle Paul’s counsel, that of hearing Candace out and so the matter had to go to the courts, as Candace says, for the benefit of all JW children.
And now the WTBTS is left with self-inflicted shame and embarrassment
I'm Googling 'Jehovah's Witnesses' and Candace Conti's case is a winner at #1 & #2, with JW website a dead 3rd!

If they had won, it would have all over jw-media just like the French case.

What makes you think they would say anything?
Their history has shown nothing but silence on matters that do not paint them in a positive light.
Plus making any sort of public announcement would inform all witlesses, especially one's who had no clue what was going on, that something negative happened to it's imperviously perfect borganization; in other words a public statement might crack the fragile eggshell the $ociety has around it’s believers.
