I seem to remember there was one about 10 years ago in Ontario, The court case was held in Toronto. I think Grace/Mouthy attended it. I wish I could find it now. She lost though. It was somewhat the same type of thing if I recall but several years had elapsed before she came forward.
I am sure there are lots out there but not sure if there is anything recent or ongoing?? I would be interested as I live in Canada.

It was Vicky Boer. Here is a link to one thread. You can find more using her name.

Thanks Talesin, I just found it too. That one turned out good for the WT which it always seems to have until now, I think she was ordered to pay them for legal costs too. She didn't have the money but I guess the message was, don't sue us, we will win and ask for costs so that you don't Appeal. I am disgusted just reading about it.

READ this, this explains it in a simple way. The WT tried to settle with he for $56,000r but the catch was a GAG order. She refused, she ended up with their legal costs. No justice for Vicki in my mind. So that is WHY the Candace Conti case is Epic.

Yes. There is also the sad case of Lawrence Hughes. Just enter his name into the search engine, and you will see many threads.
If I recall correctly, his 17YO daughter chose not to have blood, and died of cancer. He tried to sue the JWs for influencing her, but had no 'case', and couldn't get a lawyer. He tried to fight on his own, but it was futile.

Thanks. I am hoping to hear more but sad to hear the outcome of the two cases. I hope Candace's case will be just a starting point for justice to be brought upon the evil organisation.
