    sry to be a 'downer',,, there are many good things about turning 50 ,,,,,,,,,, I usually have a much better attitude.

    Life is better at this age, because we are not so worried about what ppl think about us; we are much more self-assured .............. being relaxed about life has its bennies ...

    Since retirement I have learn to play golf ( better

    then the average player), learn to play the guitar and

    will start my spanish lesson in Sept.

    As A young person , A little jealous. Today as A old fart, you think

    differently.If you let someone take you from me, then I never

    had you. Jealousy, please. We both feel no one want us old

    farts. When you old, it,s true, you or more secure. And if you

    don,t like something, damm.t you can say it without hurting

    anyone feeling. He is just A old fart.

    How about one for over 70..?

    Good part of getting older is you have learned how to cope and enjoy life for what it is..trouble is you won't live long enough to enjoy what you have learned..

    A saying/song I have loved since I first heard it was:
    "I wish I knew what I know now, when I was younger."

    One of the perks (besides the others mentioned) is that you can use your age for excuses when you screw up..or when you want to do something others consider stupid..

    You also take more of an interest in taking care of yourself..as you tell yourself "If I knew I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself..

    If only the younger generation would listen when we try to warn them*sigh*.

    You also get to "Know" people. You can almost predict how they will turn out by watching and listening to them.

    Snoozy..who would gladly change ages with you..(If I could still know what I know now)..

    A group of 15 year old boys dicussed where they should

    meet for dinner. It was agreed they would meet at Mac Donalds's

    next to Captain Jacks,s Seafood Grille because they only had

    six dollars among them, and little Jennie webster lives on the

    same street, they may see her.

    Afterward they agreed to meet evey ten years for dinner.

    Ten years later, the group now 25 yrs. old, discussed where

    they should meet for dinner. It was agreed to meet at Captian

    Jack's. The beer was cheap, free snacks, the house band was

    good, no cover charge and lots of cute girls.

    Ten yrs. later, now 35. The group once again discussed where

    they shoud meet. Captian Jack. The booze was good, it

    was near their gym and, if they went late enough, there

    wouldn,t be too many whiney little kids.

    At 45. At Captian Jack,s. The martin,s were big and the waitress

    wore tight pants.

    At 55. Captain Jack,s. The prices were reasonable, nice wine list

    and fish is good for your cholesterol.

    At 65. Captian Jack's. The lighring was good and they have A

    early bird special.

    At 75. Captian Jack's. The food was not too spicy and the

    restaurant was handicapped accessible.

    At 85. The group once again discussed where they should

    meet. It was agreed they would meet at Captain Jack's

    because they have never been there before.
