Me too Shirley. But since leaving to bOrg I've actually been to a few games at the Oakland Colosieum and Candlestick Park where I used to attend DCs. It was kinda surreal.

I'm a huge Oakland A's fan. They're pretty good this year considering their payroll is basically less than the payroll at a Home Depot store.

My mom keeps saying they'll be in the World Series this year. My parents are lifelong Giants fans who were over the moon during the 2010 Series, and she thinks it's the A's turn. Good luck with that! haha Their bullpen is really the only thing holding them back, I think. Their set up men are pretty terrible. Today my brother said "Balfour: Australian for walk" when we were all watching the game.

@NY44M The end of a tremendous first half of the season. We shall see how the second half goes.

@blindnomore Definitely one of the best, if not the best. He's my personal favorite Pirate ever. Great hitter, better fielder, even better humanitarian.

@mrsjones I think it is AT&T Ballpark now. It is definitely one of the stadiums I want to see.

@Shirley Yeah I know what you mean. The saying in Pittsburgh is "Three words said after every Pirate game, 'Nice stadium though'".

@ilikecheese A's got a tough road ahead. Rangers are in a great spot right now. A's need some chips to fall their way for sure.

Yeah, the Rangers are definitely going to win the AL West. The A's could snag a wildcard spot, though. They're not too far out in that race. I don't see it happening, but you never know! If Beane would stop getting rid of everyone every year, things might not be so bad. Their owner is just a turd, too. I kind of want to punch him... a lot.

And the Giants stadium is really, really nice. It's definitely worth visiting if you have the chance.

AL East is tough though and will probably garner one of the wild card spots. AL is definitely tough.

AT&T Park and PNC Park are supposed to be the two nicest ballparks in MLB. Can't disagree with PNC Park being touted highly. Out of all the stadiums I've been to, PNC Park is the nicest.

Been a Pirates fan since the 70's, saw Stargell, Parker, Madlock, etc. play several times, attended game 4 of the '79 WS.

20 years is a long time to be losers! This is the year!

McCutcheon is the 2nd coming of the pre-steroid Barry Bonds, and the pre-cocaine Dave Parker.

Realistically, anything above .500 is fantastic - anything beyond that is just a bonus.

MR FREEZE- I'm huge S.F. Giants fan and your Pirates just derailed us winning 2 out of 3. My cool area panty waist S.F. boys aren't used to that east coast summer , humid heat back there ! LOL ! My Giants are damned lucky to be a half game behind the Dodgers right now because L.A. has been losing too.

I love baseball. The high school coach wanted me to try out for the team as a freshman, but my elder dad didn't allow it due to Tuesday night meetings and baseball practice was on Tuesday nights. I used to get people together when I was a younger JW in my 20's and we'd rent a park with lights and play. Oh for the younger days when we had our baseball skills, eh ? Congrats on Pittsburgh doing well ! They look very good this year ! Hope they make the playoffs for you ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper
