I am writing stuff for the benefit of my kids mainly, i may one day make it public and i am a liitle stumped on kingdom hall.

the thrust of my writings is whats wrong with JWs, on many subjects naturaly. I try to contain the info to one page per subject.

Just what is 'wrong' with a kingdom hall? maybe i need to drop the subject? I mean, its a building, some have windows some don't.

The whole who owns the kingdom hall is the subject of much debate and it seems cannot be put as fact without speculation.

    any thoughts?

Like with most buildings, there is nothing wrong with it. It is what goes on inside that you should focus on.

    It's a church.

Most JWs object if you call it a church, because they want to feel 'special'. They're not. They're just another failed, crackpot, doomsday religion and the building they worship in is just another church. Never let them believe you think there is anything 'special' about them.

The Kingdom Hall is the perfect reflection of the imagination and intellect of the Jehovah's Witness core. It is devoid of art, design, inspiration, color,

stimulation or comfort. It's a coffin with folding chairs.

Kingdom Hall has no King and no Hall and that only leaves the "dom".

    Black Sheep - It's a church.

Oh, I don't see them as 'churches' (the physical building I mean). I see them as private property. My local Parish Church (CofE) is open to everyone - sometimes I wander in just because I can (lol) to look at the architecture and windows, during the daytime, when no services are being held. I am never challenged or questioned and I never feel 'uncomfortable'. I have had one occasion when I've needed to use the Church - a different Church in a neighbouring area - car park (labelled private property), and I entered the Church building and asked the permission of the vicar (I must say, I was apprehensive, as for some reason I had it in my mind that JWs would turn people away from their car park), and he (the vicar) couldn't have been nicer. In fact, I stayed a while and chatted about the Bible/144,000/charity etc.

Jesus was a carpenter. How many churches/kingdom halls did HE build?

I certainly get your point, MidwichCuckoo. The JWs have a lot of work to do to drag their places of 'worship' up to the standards of the religions they so despise.

The few CofE Vicars I have had the pleasure to meet were easier to talk to than my own flesh & blood cult members.
