Global Spectrum signs five-year contract with Jehovah’s Witnesses of Canada
Penticton BC: The South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC), managed by Global Spectrum, is
delighted to announce the signing of a five-year contract with the Jehovah’s Witnesses of
Canada. The first Penticton bound convention will begin on Friday, June 21 and conclude on
Sunday, June 23, 2013.
This convention will bring up to 3,500 delegates to Penticton for a minimum of four nights. Sally
Pierce, Assistant General Manager of the SOEC Complex, worked very closely with the
convention organizing committee after a sister Global Spectrum building shared the lead. “The
Jehovah’s Witnesses group has worked with many Global Spectrum managed facilities in
Canada and the United States. Our discussions stem back to 2009. The contract, awarded to
the SOEC Complex, identifies the strong relationship between the Jehovah’s Witnesses group
and Global Spectrum,” said Pierce.
“We are looking forward to returning to Penticton, after an absence of many years,” said Stanton
Hill, Jehovah’s Witnesses of Canada convention organizer. “Penticton offers a beautiful place to
visit and we are very much looking forward to enjoying the hospitality of this fine city.” Hill added,
“Working with Global Spectrum always provides a high level of confidence. We thoroughly
appreciate their professional approach to business. They make our lives easier.”
For future Jehovah’s Witnesses conventions, dates will soon be finalized. They are scheduled to
fall between June and mid-July in Penticton.
The annual conventions are a spiritual highlight for Jehovah’s Witnesses, focusing on bible
