Very much so - and this constant use of the word "Safeguard" shows a definate paranoia: Unless you constantly re-brainwash yourself, some anti-JW idea could just pop into your head at any moment!!!
I do think the "signs" are pointing toward full-on "circle the wagons" mode.
Things are getting desperate. No Armageddon in sight, Jesus sitting up there doing nothing for 98 years now. The clock is ticking.
They aren't dropping 1914, no way no how. The recent 607 articles and constant reference to 1914 in kool-aid editions prove that.
Nobody is coming in, a simple internet search blows their doctrine to shreds. They have to keep the troops they have, and get their kids dunked early to keep this sham of a religion going. Cut every cost that you can now, hope you survive another few decades. Hand off the mess to GB 3.0.

This year's DC had about a dozen, or more, demonstrations on how a loyal JW should and should not react to, for example:
-- An invitation from a co-worker to eat lunch
-- A flirtatious text message from a cute guy / girl
-- A call from your boss who wants you to work on a Saturday morning
-- Your spouse seeing you enjoy a hug from someone else in the Kingdom Hall just a little too much
-- A "demonic" movie comes on while you & your friends are watching TV
...and on and on.
No room for conscience, no allowance for extenuating circumstances, just "do it this way or your treacherous heart will certainly lead you astray."
