About three years ago my wife went through a bout of problems with her eyes, double vision, trouble focusing and the like. After weeks of going to specialists etc no one knew for sure what it was and after a few weeks it went away by itself. A couple of weeks ago it came back along with some other symptoms, notably weakness and pain in her legs.
She saw a doctor last week and we got a call today. Not all of the test results are back, including the definitive test, but the preliminary diagnosis is Myasthenia Gravis. She goes back again Monday and has a referral to more specialists. Even if it isn't Myasthenia, it can't be anything good. In the next few weeks we'll be assessing things like her ability to work, at the moment she can't drive.
She's trying to keep her head up, but we're in for a rough patch.
