Jehovah's Witnesses are indeed in denial. The problem though is that the WT promises so much hope, and they just dive head-first right into it. So to make them realize that it's all a lie...that would just crush them.

Yes...denial it is....about a lot of things.

Yes denial....in large part because of the tight control and fear of shunning. Remove shunning and I think 30 to 40% would run out the door or simply fade away.
