If this slaughter were to take place, most Witnesses would have just lost most, if not all their relatives. Who would want to live in a world that is ruled by someone capable commanding such a slaughter? How could any survivor then enjoy life, in a world that has paid such a high price for daring to believe that the Watchtower Society was not a reliable organization in which to put faith?
The remaining Witnesses would then have to spend the rest of eternity knowing that any mistake on their part would result in their execution at the hand of the God whom they still love. They believe that if they can make it through the first thousand years, they will reach perfection, after which they are not likely to sin. The problem is that they also believe that the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, were perfect but turned against God. The perfect angel who was sent to look after them also sinned and became Satan the Devil.
What makes them think it will be any easier to keep all the rules in a new world than it was in paradise? To make things even more difficult the Witnesses believe that the Devil will be released at the end of the thousand years to test them.
It doesn’t look good!

I recall the 'reasoning' was that at that point, after the big A, the univerasl issue of sovereignty was settled...those that go another way...instanly killed..
It takes a conscious effort to recall all that...to think, that used to be my 'reality'

Ok I'll pretend they are right. The resurrection: Are they going to look like Zombies lurching around on unsteady legs, smelling of the grave they climbed out of? Maybe even from different countries with impaired memories so they don't run around looking for family, mates, children. Are they in need of basic educational skills? Will they even be potty trained or do we have to interrupt our full time careers of shoveling dead bodies and bones into open pits and teach them the basics? I know what I'd do first.......... teach them how to use a shovel. Who dreamed this resurrection stuff up? Heaven was so much simpler.

you got me, I did think about this when I was high, but I am actually dry right now, the economy and all. And I quit drinking heavily once I hit 30. Havent had any alcohol or weed in a long enough time I can assure you I am quite sober at the moment.
