Most troubling are the sexual sins of the GB. Two of their number, Ewart Chitty and Leo Greenlees were both found to be homosexuals. Chitty was sent back to his native Britain in 1979 and not disfellowshipped. His needs were payed and cared for by the Society until his death. Greenlees in late 1983 was found to have for decades seduced new boy bethelites into homosexual relationships. Surely he should have been disfellowshipped. But he wasn't. He was sent to New Orleans where he was made a Special Pioneer on the infirmed list. His basic needs were still payed and cared for by the Society until his death in 1989.

I think, the watchtower has a double standard in this respect. Its a great irony and hypocrisy. In today's era, Ewart Chitty and Leo Greenlees as eligible LGBT members and as most senior leaders of the Watchtower of Jehovah's witnesses society, would have been easily welcomed to our JWN and the society in general without problem. Right now, more LGBT members are wining court support in the United States and Europe. I think, they would be surprised if they get resurrected and come to back to see a changed environment. Scott77

Very interesting. In heaven as kings rulling with Jesus christ, part of 144,000 sponsored by the Watchtower society of Jehovah's Witnesses. I think, that is silly because its not true.

A simple solution they will never take: Drop the hang-ups about sex. Homosexuality is openly permissible, as is bisexuality, group sex, straight sex, and so on. Drop the damn hang-ups. Stop teaching children that sex is somehow dirty and needing to be highly regulated. And, encourage top scientists to work on solutions. Open up new dimensions, so the planet can handle more and more people without straining resources. Develop cures for sexually and genetically transmitted diseases so they are no longer a problem. Develop perfect birth control that doesn't involve risks to either party. That is one problem solved, and casual sex (or even play sex) is no longer so serious. Practice without hang-ups makes perfect.

Instead, let them harp on slavery, torture, and religions trying to usurp other cultures. Slavery is really evil. Using torture to keep people bound to a bad belief system is evil. If they were half as forceful at creating hang-ups against slavery and torture as they are against sex, women, and freedom of expression, they might accomplish some good.

Mr. Flipper, Iam surprised, Ted Jaracz is metioned. I do not know the reason why but I know of him as having been married thus marking out as a straight,non-Gay person. I really have no idea regarding his true sexual orientation but as you know, there is no smoke without fire. May be he was a closet gay or straightt, Its hard to know. I know of some individuals who are married but still are closet Gay as such. That is why we have LGBT with B letter standing for Bisexual.
