I love this story. You both showed true love and consideration to this young woman. It is ridiculous that you were the only people in the cong to offer assistance. I bet you got some funny looks from other dubs wondering why you were holding the 'disfellowshipped' baby. Lets hope this starts your wifes questioning of the cult.

As a previously single mom, bravo to you and your wife. As if going to meeting was hard enough not being disfellowshipped, the sister had to deal with her 2 very young children. Again, bravo.

Remember years ago when the Watchtower stated that if a "true Christian" saw a Dfed person on the roadside with a flat tire it would be fitting to stop and offer assistance? Replace flat tire with crying baby, then add the fact that the mother is doing the "works that befit repentance" according to their own criteria.
Is something in writing that makes this "OLD light"?????? Is there "NU light" that replaces the flat tire principle?

Why didn't the elder go to you first? I mean, you are the "head of the household?" If I was you, I'd have a stern talk with this elder, and tell him (in front of your wife) that ANY spiritual matters regarding your wife's behavior MUST go through YOU.

BOC, contrary to the Watch Tower, not all women are controlled by emotion. It seems to me, however, that your wife is. She's in good company, because I'm the same way. Don't bother her with the Watch Tower's false doctrine. I've been out for 24 years and just recently took an interest in it. Instead, rely on the injustices...the abused children, the domestic violence, the treatment of df'd people, the jws who were damaged by missing out on vaccinations, transplants, blood fractions before they became Watch Tower approved. These things will get to her.

I loved this sequel, BOC, better than many others I've read in a long time. And the reason "Brother COBE" didn't approach you about your wife's "problem" is plain to me. Like so many in authority among Jehovah's Witnesses, HE IS A COWARD.
