The space travel/world problems dichotomy is oversimplified and unfair. There are billions of dollars spent daily on questionable behaviour . . . military being just one example. Why pick on space exploration?

I was going to sit up and wait for the Curiosity touchdown on Mars, but since that won't happen until 0431 UT on 6 August, I'm going to bed and hope there will be good news and pictures when I awake.
