ok, so i'm a math nerd let me explain the algebraic equation........
12 + 10(4-2) - 7
it can be broken down into: 12 + (10 x (4-2)) -7
you have to do the multiplication first. so 10 x 2 = 20, add the 12 = 32, subtract 7 = 25
