I also wrote to Abraham Cantor, way back on October 23 of last year allowing ample time to "look into" this ordinance as it appears in the town next to where I live, and how it was accepted, etc.
IMHO, he doesn't (didn't) seem to show any interest in information offered to benefit him in presenting this case for the good people of Stratton who needed legal representation.
This is a copy of the letter I sent to him first, and then submitted
to MANY newspaper's city forums and letters to editors all over the country since October:

I am very much in favor of it, and wish it were implemented EVERYWHERE. This link concerning the Stratton, Ohio case was sent to me, and I have to say I wasn't surprised. I figured it would only be a matter of time this happened.
I have been researching this cult for two years, and I'm constantly amazed at the mind-control that I've uncovered by the leaders of the Watchtower Society, and how both the history and the ongoing deceit are completely hidden from the "regular" members who are forbidden to speak with ex-members or to read ANYTHING derogatory about their religion.
Most likely you are aware that they don't salute the flag or display one, won't say the pledge of allegiance, and don't vote, won't donate to ANY fundraisers, food pantries, soup kitchens, etc, thereby giving NOTHING back to the "system", but will kick up a fuss when they feel that THEIR Civil Rights are being impinged upon in any way.
I truly wish there were some way to stop these folks from going door-to-door at all, but the very government they sneer at in this country, also grants them the freedom to spread their insidious message of destruction to not only OUR government, but to ALL forms of government , while spouting threats of death to all those who don't "become a Jehovah's Witness"...........their publications are filled with thinly veiled pictures of the capital dome, the United Nations Building etc.
These artist's renditions show terrified people fleeing from fiery destruction behind them, SO reminiscent of the scenes we have seen of folks running from the WTC recently. Their teachings and their message of horror are very disturbing.
Various churches and buildings of various religious beliefs are also depicted as being demolished, as men, women and children are shown, running in terror at the destruction.
Jehovah's Witnesses have many conventions throughout the earth every year, where "name badges" must be worn to identify them, including what city or town, state, and congregation they are from. The stated purpose, of course, is for "Security Purposes," which is understandable.
BUT WHEN THEY ARE ASKED TO REGISTER WITH LOCAL AUTHORITIES AND THEIR ORDINANCES FOR THE VERY SAME REASON, THEY BALK AND HOLLER ABOUT "THEIR" CIVIL RIGHTS!
Their "nice attire" and "sunny smiles" are only what the public sees......don't be fooled by them. What they offer under the guise of a "free home Bible Study Course," is a very artfully contrived manipulation into the "Watchtower" world. The teachings have the "appearance" of Christianity, which attract so many...........but are insidious and damaging.
I know this first hand...I was approached in 1969 and offered this "home Bible study" and this cult has wrecked my family beyond repair. I sit here at 60 years of age, (I left the WBTS two years ago) now being shunned by my parents, my sister and her children, a daughter, a son, and my grandchildren..ALL a direct result of my association with Jehovah's Witnesses, and then my decision to leave after almost 30 years, after learning of the lies and deception I lived under and gave my loyalty to........
I hope and pray with all my heart that you will win and the ordinance will stand.....Jehovah's Witnesses are SUPPOSED TO comply with the law, they'll be the first to tell you what "model citizens" they are. No one is stopping them from spreading their message of destruction to all who don't accept their views, they need only to be identified to the householders; a common courtesy.
When anyone comes to your door, you have the RIGHT to know 1) WHO they are, and 2) WHAT they want of you, and PROOF that they ARE who they SAY they are.........
This is a precedent-setting case, and will have a heavy impact on similar laws passed throughout the nation. One just like this was passed last May in this area, after a woman was murdered by a teen magazine salesman going door-to-door. It is a protection for everyone and should benefit everyone who has nothing to hide.

I had added a few more incriminating links to this letter that were lost while I did the cut & paste thing to post this on here! I REALLY wanted him to SEE what the WBTS is TEACHING it's members, firsthand.
Since October, I've been totally involved in trying to educate the unsuspecting public to the REAL reason JWs are knocking on their doors, and the apathy is amazing (not to mention my frustration level, LOL)
While "promoting" the awareness on this topic, I HAVE "met" some great people in my "travels" throughout the country, and some very eloquent posters who make MY written thoughts look like a 4th grader's essay! One person in particular comes to mind and I'd LOVE to share some excerpts of his posts on here. I'm sure more than a few here would enjoy reading his views. I need to sit down and write to him for permission to do so.....
