I thought I made it very clear there can only be one princess here!

    Welcome Kaiulani!

LB, my husband is just getting back into diving after 15 years. He was supposed to have his first dive tomorrow, unfortunately it is snowing and the divemaster thought they should wait until the cold front passes. He is planning on diving in Hawaii at Christmas and Orcas Island in the San Juans in July.

I prefer the beach. Humans were not made to breathe underwater. I hyperventilate while snorkling.

    Dana,

Do it!!! Get certified. I did (PADI) and it was great. Went through dive school with a friend (hubby was already certified) and it was a blast. I'll tell ya, I'm sick and tired of diving in cold water though and would love to dive in the tropics.

I really do want to. My son is 10 and a half...I'm thinking in a year or so, perhaps we can get certified together. Then I'd have a partner, you know, one I have some control over!

Snorkeling in the keys was great...one of my favorite life experiences (ok, cept for the shark). The sun, the water, the gentle motion of the boat (after the shark), the many different colors of the fish and the coral...sigh, wonderful. I was also on my honeymoon at the time...gee, wonder if that had anything to do with it being special?

I want to be there right now. Instead I'm waiting the tech room to begin work.

    I need a vacation.

Maui, Maui, Maui...Oh, how do I love thee!
My hubby and I love Maui. The Wailea area is my favorite. It's been at least 4 years (still trying to recover from JW employee embezzlements). We love ST. Martin equally. The water is warmer, but there is more to do in Maui. I guess you could say I'm divided between 2 worlds. Yes, you can live in Paradise earth and if not, you can at least visit or vacation there.

    Maui's the Best!!!

DON'T FORGET TO GET SOME 'MAUI ONION POTATO CHIPS and MAUI ONION DRESSING', it's great.

Maui is wonderful, but we prefer the North Shore of Oahu, near the Polynesian Cultural Center. We rent a beach house, in a residential area, and the beach is usually deserted. We can lay back and truly unwind........... living with the locals, you get a feel for the real Hawaii, and not the tourist thing. We are going for Christmas this year and our 40th anniversary, (remember I got married when I was a child ), with most of the family, including Princess and her gang. We can rent the entire property this time..........more privacy.

We also love The Florida Keys. True Paradise on earth. Glorious drive down to Key West too. I can hardly believe that a month ago, we were there. Seems like a year!!
