    Gayle & Mad Mary;

    The comments came from a couple of active Silicon Valley JWs who are personal friends of the Fremont Elders. The Fremont elders involved with the Conti Case are just accross the Dumbarton Bridge from Facebook HQ and the famous Menlo Park Kingdom Hall. Both bodies of elders personally know members of each body! (15 minutes drive?). From what I was told first hand, ALL the Elders in the Silicon Valley are "Ill" after watching what happened to the Fremont and Menlo Park elders. The San Francisco Bay Area news covered the Conti Case quite well. I heard Elders Abrahamson and Cobb were well known assembly speakers in the Bay Area and very popular.... but the WTBTS Governing Body hung them "out to dry" without a single tear.

    Gayle:

    On a seperate note: Insurance only covers "accidents"...not willful actions like "conspiracy to conceal a crime" or "intimidation of victims and witnesses to a crime" or efforts to blackmail litigants.

    I was told, a number of wives long unhappy with being "Elders widows", are encouraging husbands to step aside since they realize they may be spending golden years bankrupt......in the "OLD SYSTEM"

    Thank you, Bsa! I do feel sorry for the R & F in Fremont. I can't imagine going to the meetings there these days. I am sorry for those in Bay area (I grew up there in 50s-60s, southern parts) feeling "ill." I hope only that they can in their Big Disappointment to spread the word, even knowing they are not suppose to) I would suppose their "Elders School" to be loaded next time.

    Kingdom halls do not have insurance policies from "wordly companies".

    they are self insured from the society, they send monthly payments to a fund called KHAA.

    from what I hear, payments are easy to send to the society, but not the other way around

    According to "Justia" 2013 may shape up to be the year more criminal and civil cases are brought against those who failed to REPORT child abuse in a TIMELY manner.

    BTW, legal won't defend you either if you violate the law. secretly they encourage vigilantism but only if you don't get caught. if you get caught they do not know who you are and will not send you lawyers guns or money. he he
