    Hi All,

i don't remember the scripture but I have a vague memory of one saying that people will be as angels or something and I remember the CO trying to explain something like we would be like angels and not have any kids in the "new system" or something.

Does anyone remember that and what exactly the stance is now?

I think it is Luke 20:27-47
Jesus is talking about the resurrection with the Sadducees (they say there is no resurrection).
The question comes about the wife who had seven (prev. 6 had died) husbands, who's wife will she be?
those considered worthy of the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; for they cannot even die anymore because they are like angels and are sons of God.........
.....Where Moses calls the Lord the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.....Now He is not the God of the dead but of the living; for all live to Him"

    Good question.

Luke 21:8 If anyone comes to you in my name, saying "I am he", and the end is near, do not go after them.

    Amo 5:18 Woe to those who are longing for the day of the LORD, For what purpose will the day of the LORD be to you? It will be darkness and not light;

HERE IS ONE THAT WE DON'T IGNORE, BUT APOSTATES WOULD LOVE FOR IT TO GO AWAY:

    *** Rbi8 Isaiah 33:10-14 ***
10 “Now I will rise up,” says Jehovah, “now I will exalt myself; now I will lift myself up. 11 YOU people conceive dried grass; YOU will give birth to stubble. YOUR own spirit, as a fire, will eat YOU up. 12 And peoples must become as the burnings of lime. As thorns cut away, they will be set ablaze even with fire. 13 Hear, YOU men who are far away, what I must do! And know, YOU who are nearby, my mightiness. 14 In Zion the sinners have come to be in dread; shivering has grabbed hold of the apostates: ‘Who of us can reside for any time with a devouring fire? Who of us can reside for any time with long-lasting conflagrations?’

“Now I will rise up,” says Jehovah, “now I will exalt myself; now I will lift myself up"

Is this in the present tense or future prophesy?

    John 2:19
Destroy this temple, and in three days I WILL RAISE IT UP."
    We know this happened.

    Luke 24:34
    The Lord has really risen..

Well, Seeker4, I don't remember calling you ignorant. Perhaps it was a slip of the finger tips? I'm an evolutionist, too, actually. Although I'm not an atheist. Go figgure. I apologize anyway.

yoyoma i'm an apostate and I don't care a rats ass if that scripture exists or not. You speak as though you think Isaiah or whoever wrote it is talking about ex members of a 20th century man-worshipping rule-following member-bleed-to-deathing history-rewriting knowledge-controlling oral-sex-disallowing etc-ad-naseuming cult.

    YoYo,

As a very happy apostate, I have no problem with the destruction of Assyria, whether it happened or not. What exactly was the point in Isaiah 33?

Are there any active JWs who could recite a scripture dealing with this "Great wrath of Jehovah" that are dealt with AFTER the provision of the ransom sacrifice?

That would be that guy who goes by the name of Jesus Christ, the one that JWs pretend to recognize
