When I had my oldest son, my mom said "hopefully he will never have to go to school. He is 18 now, my youngest son is 10. My mom used to say that after everyone of her grandbabies were born. (She has 13 of them ages 21-1). She stopped saying that when the last ones were born. I haven't heard those words come out of her mouth in a long time. She has been waiting for over 30 years. I wonder if she ever thinks it might not happen?

They are baptizing them ever younger....if everyone had only listened to the counsel the decreases in the number of publishers would be huge.

I know many older women in the organization today who did not get married and have children because they were counseled by the WT not to and they regret it. At least people should be given a choice and not be pressured into spending their total time in the organization's service. In fact, I don't think marriage was popular until Nthan Knorr got married to this knockout blond. At that time they sort of eased off the not getting married thing, but held on to the not having kids thing. Anyway, the organization is just looking for people to spend as much time going from door to door as possible to sell their books and magazines and to recruit other suckers like themselves.

They have always been teaching not to have children. I thought it actually might have let up. Its sad to see its still going strong.
J.W. women in my family are childless because of this.
Its actually very stupid. If they would instead stop permitting birth control, like catholics etc. They would have a more rapid growth and wouldnt have to spend so much time banging on doors.
I also read that they dont think its wise because of the amount of time and attention that children need, this would take away from their studies etc.
I think the W.T.S. is really thinking about how much money the society will be given if there arent any beneficiaries upon a J.W.s death.
