In the late 60s and 70s we had to drive quite a ways to get to our KH up in Northern WI. After the Thursday night meetings, in the summer, my dear father would always stop at A & W Root Beer. This was such a HUGE treat for us five kids and a very happy memory. -

Celebrate that the meeting is over and reflect on how much sleep I got. Freedom for another 3 or so days till the next meeting. Then repeat the above. If I'm able to miss a meeting, well that's even better. -

Back in the horrid old days, when I used to come back from the meetings, I'd strip all my clothes off, grab some wine or a few shots of vodka and proceed to watch demonic tv shows. -

Cup of tea, clean teeth bed. I had to be at work starting at 0700. Some days 0500. The wt has NEVER made any consideration for people who have jobs to attend to. We are not all window washers! -

Yep....same here...strip off and change into comfy clothes, watch TV...and DRINK!
Yes, I realise that drinking does not solve everything, but it sure helps after the meetings!
(oh and "derangd"...That was the best line I've heard on this site for ages!!!)

I think probably not just us apostate fader minions, but also most every R&F do the exact same thing...
Obviously this is indicative of just how "refreshing" the meetings are for EVERYONE when we all need to have a drink and zone out after...no?

As a teenager, after Friday night meeting we would usually go to eat fast food somewhere all dressed in our JC Penny suits. Then I would go stay the night at my buddies house We would sneak out to go buy beer and either buy Playboy or Penthouse whichever was available at the local 7-11. We would drink and oogle the pictures until late into the night and then get up early still buzzing to go do street work in downtown Las Vegas! We probable stunk like booze the same as many of the homeless down there. We went primarily to get our time in early and check out the hotties from other congregations.
On Sunday, we would buy fast food with the family and take it home to eat and watch TV. Then off to bed to wax the old weasel and off to sleep to top off my spiritually filled weekend!
