What Should People Know About Jehovah's Witnesses

A couple of very basic questions for you good folks.

1)Imagine that you are Joe Public who has never had any real contact with Jehovah's Witnesses. None of your family are, or your friends. You occasionally say "not interested" to them on Saturday mornings. Which aspects of Jehovah's Witness life or beliefs are most likely to provoke a reaction (or enough interest) for you to discuss them with acquaintances?

    2) Now imagine a person who has recently come into contact with Jehovah's Witnesses. Perhaps they have talked to one at work, or read a Watchtower magazine shoved through the door, or maybe even are thinking of beginning a study with a JW. As yet, they know very little about JW's, but their interest is piqued enough to do a little research. What aspects of Jehovah's Witness life or beliefs do you think they should be told about?

I know these are basic questions, but I'd appreciate hearing your ideas. And even if someone has already mentioned one you thought of, please post it anyway to give an indication of what the consensus is.

    Thanks!

It would have to be the bogus blood doctrine that continues to be the cause of many J.W. deaths.
I wish the W.T.S would just disgard it already since its so full of holes.

Theocratic War Strategy. It's what allows JWs to suck people in, and it's what keeps people from finding out the truth about The Truth™.

In the majority of conversations I've had with "worldly" (snicker) friends, by far the thing that astonishes them most is the shunning policy. It's so foreign to most people's concept of love, especially christian love, that it seems to blow their minds, especially when told of how family members will turn their backs.

Interestingly, my friends have predictably been shocked and horrified at the pedophile/blood issues, but the shunning seems to have a more immediate effect on them. Not sure why.

Did I help? What do I win??

I agree, that the shunning thing, is shocking to most people. And, that you can't disagree with ANYTHING they teach.

Here is a hand bill I'm passing out that answer your question:

Jehovah’s Witnesses keep coming to your door because they don’t want you to be destroyed at ARMAGEDON.
All members believe they belong to the only TRUE RELIGION and every religion except theirs is from the DEVIL, and that God will destroy you for not being a Jehovah’s Witness at ARMAGEDON.
You must serve the Watchtower and let the Watchtower control your life or die eternally that is what the Jehovah’s Witness believe.

If someone lived a trillion X longer than you, and had a billion X more reasoning ability would he come to the same conclusions as you?

Dearest Expatbrit... may you have peace... and may I respond? Thank you!

    You ask:

Which aspects of Jehovah's Witness life or beliefs are most likely to provoke a reaction (or enough interest) for you to discuss them with acquaintances?
I would have to say their erroneous belief that the 'Society' is the 'Truth' and that the Bible is the 'Word' of God and contains the 'truth' that will 'set you free'... in OPPOSITION and CONTRARY to what the Bible itself states.

What aspects of Jehovah's Witness life or beliefs do you think they should be told about?
That the 'Society' is NOT the 'Truth', and that the Bible is NOT the 'Word' of God, that both the Truth AND the Word of God are His Son, my Lord, JAHESHUA MISCHAJAH, and that HE is the 'Truth' that will 'set you free'... in CONJUNCTION with and FULFILLMENT of what the Bible itself states.

    John 8:32
    John 14:6
    John 8:36
    John 17:17
    John 1:14
    Hebrews 13:12
    Hebrews 10:29
    John 17:19
    Revelation 19:13

And thank you, Expatbrit, for allowing me to say so.

Your servant and a slave of Christ,

Here's something shocking they should know.

They teach that Jesus is not your mediator!
He is only the mediator for the 144,000.

Note the parts I made bold.

    *** w79 4/1 31 Questions from Readers ***
    Questions from Readers
ó Is Jesus the “mediator” only for anointed Christians?
The term “mediator” occurs just six times in the Christian Greek Scriptures and Scripturally is always used regarding a formal covenant.
Moses was the “mediator” of the Law covenant made between God and the nation of Israel. (Gal. 3:19, 20) Christ, though, is the “mediator of a new covenant” between Jehovah and spiritual Israel, the “Israel of God” that will serve as kings and priests in heaven with Jesus. (Heb. 8:6; 9:15; 12:24; Gal. 6:16) At a time when God was selecting those to be taken into that new covenant, the apostle Paul wrote that Christ was the “one mediator between God and men.” (1 Tim. 2:5) Reasonably Paul was here using the word “mediator” in the same way he did the other five times, which occurred before the writing of 1 Timothy 2:5, referring to those then being taken into the new covenant for which Christ is “mediator.” So in this strict Biblical sense Jesus is the “mediator” only for anointed Christians.
The new covenant will terminate with the glorification of the remnant who are today in that covenant mediated by Christ. The “great crowd” of “other sheep” that is forming today is not in that new covenant. However, by their associating with the “little flock” of those yet in that covenant they come under benefits that flow from that new covenant. During the millennium Jesus Christ will be their king, high priest and judge. For more detailed information, see Aid to Bible Understanding, pages 1129 and 1130 under “Mediator”; also God’s “Eternal Purpose” Now Triumphing for Man’s Good, page 160, paragraph 10; also The Watchtower issues of February 15, 1966, pages 105 through 123; November 15, 1972, pages 685 and 686, under the subheading “Leading the Way to a New Covenant”; and April 1, 1973, pages 198 and 199, under the subheading “The New Covenant.”
ó At Psalm 89:19, who are the “loyal ones” to whom Jehovah spoke in a vision?
An examination of Psalm 89 reveals that the subject matter is the Kingdom covenant. ÞPs 89 ÜVerses 19, 20 and 29 of this psalm read: “At that time you spoke in a vision to your loyal ones, and you proceeded to say: ‘I have placed help upon a mighty one; I have exalted a chosen one from among the people. I have found David my servant; with my holy oil I have anointed him . . . And I shall certainly set up his seed forever and his throne as the days of heaven.’”
The account of 1 Chronicles 17 reveals that the promise of a continuing dynasty in the house of David was revealed to the prophet Nathan in a vision. First Chronicles 17:15 tells us: “According to all these words and according to all this vision was the way that Nathan spoke to David.” Therefore, the “loyal ones” are Nathan and David, with David receiving the divine revelation through Nathan.

This ought to ruffle some Christian feathers.

SHOCKING FACTS TOLD OUT OF LOVE TO THE CONGREGATION & PUBLIC: The Watchtower Society (WTS) over Jehovah's Witnesses (JWs) cover up child molestation & let pedophiles go door-to-door http://www.silentlambs.org. They say God opposes the UN but, until exposed, in 1991-2001 were a formal UN associate not just to use the UN's library as proved if you will read the Nov 22, 1998 Awake magazine closely & http://www.unhchr.ch/udhr/materials/articles.htm for the 2nd entry there. 1 Cor 6:1 only says judge "trivial" things as in business, James 2:4-13 calls judging harmful, & Paul says the "majority" (2 Cor 2:6) followed his advice to shun a wrongdoer, meaning a minority chose not to & yet he nowhere condemns them, yet the WTS has formal Judicial Committes destroying families via numerous formal renderings of disfellowshipment (shunning).

Acts 15:20 says abstain from blood but 1 Sam 14:32-5 says Saul's army ate unBLED meat to not starve & no verses show God not forgiving them. Christ says God also forgave David's eating temple holy bread & that God wants Mercy Not Sacrifice. (Mt 12) The May 22, 1994 Awake tells of 26 JW kids who died without transfusions, & by common sense in massive bleeding as in car wrecks blood expanders won't save lives http://www.ajwrb.org. About 3 JWs die daily earthwide from the unscriptural policy! (Blood On The Altar by David Reed) Why must anyone be endangered? JWs can form nonWTS groups united by LOVE, join another group or decrease donations & support to the WTS. Please make & use copies of this for years ahead. It was written out of love for our JW families & friends as well as the public's - yours too!
