  Simon is no doubt working on some wonderful revisons that will aloow us to do all sorts of funky things on the new board, that might cut down on the shit storms.

  BUT, we already have a rating feature, that is rarely used.
  If you read a thread that sucks, that is back-biting, bickering, or just plain mean and dumb, give it a 1.

  That way, everyone can avoid the '1' threads.

  Use it to give Kudos too, and mark other threads as you think appropriate.

  I actually think it would be cool if you HAD to rate a thread. I'm sure Simon's sick to his back teeth of patrolling the school yard during break-times, so to speak, and if we use the features we've already got, we can help.

  Actually, when I first read the title of this thread, I thought it related to the PayPal link at the top of the page.

  Donating to this site offsets the running costs of this site for Simon. The money isn't FOR Simon, it's merely to keep this place running. So if you are in the position to donate a little something, and you WANT to donate, then maybe you might like to think about it.

  Good point Prisca re. PayPal.

  I think it's better to rate bad 'uns with a one, as unrated threads have no rating. If we all give a one to the negative threads, it'll point them out to people.

  What they do with that is their decision.

  I've just rated your thread a 5er - for good reason. It might be well if we keep this thread to the top....so more people might click on & appreciate the good logic behind your plan (which I think was Simon's plan for the rating system in the first place.)

  As for PayPal - it's also a great reminder. THANKS PRISCA! Simon has said before that it takes about $200 per month to have our playground open. That's a lot of lost toys for him and his kids......been two years now.

  PayPal is easy to use, they'll *accept* your payment, give you written notification, Simon will acknowledge receipt, and it's so painless, you'll never even notice your money gone. I think that's the plan, btw.

  But at least it's gone for a Good Cause, eh?

  waiting; I agree; if people can help keep this at the top, then maybe we can make the rating feature truely useful, as it gets more usefull the more people use it.

  Lord knows we've kept some shit at the top; let's try something positive.
