  The world has never been so good. We in the western wold live in luxury and wealth on a level that has never been seen before. In the ancient world, many if not most of hte population had miserable lives. There have always hungry and poor in places like Africa, but that was true on the same scale thousands of years ago. The WTS nonsense is utter lies, along with their other armageddpon lies like increases inearthquakes, wars, faminie and so on.

  What proof have you got for this statement ? Stalin had enough problems keeping the USSR from falling apart, he hardly had the means or will to do anything to the USA. Americans believe any bullshit their government tells them, they really think they are the center of the world. Its this sort of nonsense that allows the american government to pay zillions tothe military for real and imaginery enemies.

  Well uh yeah, they really thought the socialist revolution could bring down the West. The Red Scare may have been overblown, but there were a LOT of communist sympathizers in the West. Particularly before WWII, it was en vogue in many elite circles in the US.

  Hell, even George Orwell had trouble finding a publisher in the West for Animal Farm because it was a satire on Communism, which was popular in the West at the time.

  It's all about quality of life. We've learned how to extend life, we still aren't especially learned in how to extend quality of life. Longevity on its own is a poor statistic.

  More sweeping negativity worthy of the latest Watchtower. All that's missing is the dreary phrase, "mankind needs the new system....".

  It's not reasonable to summarize the "consequences" of increased life expectancies in terms of sweeping statements that nevertheless may contain a grain of truth.

  With the increasing expectancies come problems, captured in the above statement - but as well come increased levels of health benefits among older populations. Indeed, one of the "concerns" of medical insurance companies is the limits of quality-of-life medical cover - in contrast to medical-necessity cover. Contrast this with a common statistic among English commoners less than a one or two centuries ago: Living short, brutish lives. They had it both ways: Reduced life expectancy and pain-ridden lives.

  The "noise" created by a hammered thumb can often make its possessor forget that the other nine fingers are pain-free. Same with the grim statistics on efforts to keep people alive no matter what its quality; it prevents us from seeing the vast numbers of the elderly who do live lives of decent quality. Of course, for those who have been conditioned to expect a paradise earth - or its heavenly equivalent - human efforts to improve life can be found wanting.

  This is utter garbage, ever since day one, when man has always been inventing bigger and better weapons. In another thousand years there will be better ones, this fact will always be true unless the Apes take over and we have a situation like the planet of the Apes. The world has never been so peaceful thats why there are so many people on it right now.

  Take a look at the BIble, every other page theres a war, it seems every character or generation mention is always fighting and in some crisis. Go tally the number of wars and dead from Moses to Jesus and you will find an extraordinary number that dwarfs any similar measure for any western country. I mentioned western simply because its harder to study similar stats for other nations.
