I had mentioned in an earlier thread that brother and sister hoser were being unofficially shunned at the kingdom hall. Now I think that they realize it is not having the
desired results( we are quite happy on our own, and have done a few things with our non-jw neighbors).
So now I think they are trying to love bomb us back into the fold. 2 invites in as many days.

I don't think it is a coincidence either. People that don't ever talk to us at the Hall are asking us to dinner at their homes. I think it may be a
coordinated effort on the elders part

Do you go and warmly say thanks but no thanks to the meetings.
Do you beg off and go enjoy our gorious fall.
Do you reciprocate and invite them over to home turf, and redirect every time they bring up the meetings.
we enjoy nature and sleep in whenever we can!
I think that is the problem. No one is allowed to have fun. They don't like to see us being happy without following the rules.
exactly....i had an elder (who happens to be my real brother) say to me...have you seen anyone happy who has left the truth? Lol...ummmmm, yeah, me!
One of the elders told me that if I spent more time in service I'd have a better marriage.
Hubby is having fits of conscience this month because for private reasons, he must miss a few midweek meetings. He stressed about what he would tell the brothers. I told him to say that his wife needed a little more attention. He looked me askance, and he didn`t buy it (besides that it is not true). I swore it is an approved reason in the Secret of Family Happiness book.

I've yet to know a smiling, truly happy witness- on the inside. It's all a plastic veneer.
I never thought about it too much, but I have been love-bombed!!! It never moved me. It always felt insincere.
