I remmeber it being said at mettings that if we didn't do the preaching work then the "stones would cry out".

Carn't rememeber where it's from or whether it's a society teaching.

Any one remember?

Yeah, it was something that was said in the scriptures (forgot which one), though I doubt Jesus meant for it to be taken literally (did this guy ever say anything unambiguous? )

I sometimes think the same thing. People might be more responsive to the "kingdom message" if stones spoke to them, because they sure aren't listening now.

Go therefore and baptize the people in the name of the father and of the son... what the hell, we just need to bring up the yearbook numbers!

Come to think about it - since the JWs are doing such a piss-poor job getting into China, India, etc, why aren't the stones over there talking? I mean, I know for the most part they're poor in those contries, but they DO have stones don't they?
