Third time's the charm

Today I was in the main office of my apartment complex. When I was walking out I stopped one of the workers and told him that I had lived here for over a year and never once saw a JW. I jokingly asked if they had some kind of strategy they used to keep them away. He laughed and said no and then related his own experience with a JW.

He said that one day a JW came to his house. He told the JW that he wasn't interested and the JW left. But then a few days later the same JW came by again, and then a third time a few days after that. (Apparently he was not keeping he NH/NI records correctly)

On this third visit he said to the JW, "Wait a minute, your bible is saying one thing while my bible is saying something else. Let me go and get my bible and I will show you." He went to get his bible, but on his way he noticed a bucket in the washroom - well, his gears started turning. Instead of returning with his bible, he filled the bucket with water, returned to the door, and well... [SPLASH!!!!]

    The JW never returned.

    That just made my day!

Pretty rude for the SAME, apparently BLIND and STUPID JW to continue to return to the SAME house 3x in a row after being told that the householder was NOT interested.

Just desserts in my opinion. Sometimes it takes a hard lesson for the thick-headed to understand.

I once saw the J/W'S coming down my street.
I remembered about a fake tatoo i had left over from a party so i removed my t-shirt and applied it to my chest.
Then came the knock at the door. I answered by just putting my face round the door, there were too men stood there, smartly dressed in there mid thirty's at a guess.
One of them sead "hello. we are just calling with the watch tower and awake magazine's and we were wondering what your veiws are on the world in general at the moment."
At wich point i swung the door open as fast as i could, opend my eyes as wide as they would go and with an upside down crucifix tatoo on my ample chest sead in monotone, "I bat for the opposition."

They didnt just walk away but both jumped back about six feet and ran up the street. they didnt even bother to knock at any one elses house on the street lol.

Im laughing about this again now. It always makes me laugh when i remember the look of complete horor on there faces.

I also jumped out of the house once, before they had a chance to knock, and just stood there screeming at the top of my voice. you need to understand that im a 17 1/2 stone biker and was dressed in my finest leathers at the time to truly apreciate the sceen.

oh, i totally agree. but i think what the man did was uncalled for. christ, if i did that to every annoying person that came to my door, my yard would be flooded .
there's more mature ways to handle such situations

Yeah it's a bit mean, but it's the blokes fault...if he'd kept his damn records up-to-date.

This reminds me of a story I heard - in the 50's in England, housewives used to tip their dirty bucket water all over the witnesses from the second floor! I'd pray for the ground to swallow me whole if that happened to me!

You've been a BAD boy, go to MY room

What if it was a different person each time and the address was wrong. No one should assault another person. In my opinion.

Elsewhere what if it was your mother who was assaulted?

Crazy is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

Awwwwww, I cant help but feel bad for those poor J.W.s just trying to do what they are told by going door to door. Even though some are really just trying to save their own skin by getting enough hours in to "satisfy Jehovah" and could care less about the householder. I do wish someone would throw a bucket of water on the entire headquarters of the W.T.S.
