Okay, sure. The expression "in the truth" that Jehovah's Witnesses use is actually a term that Jesus used. In the 8th chapter of John Jesus referred o the Devil as a liar because "he did not stand fast in the truth." So, being "in the truth" has to do with recognizing Jehovah and obeying him as God. In the case of the Devil his not "standing fast in the truth" didn't mean that he suddenly forgot what was true. It simply means that at some point he refused to live in accord with what he knew was the truth. In the case of Jehovah's Witnesses, then, having the truth, or being in the truth, as we say, has to do with our recognizing Jehovah's sovereignty in that we endeavor to live in accord with Jehovah's will and purpose. / You Know

But I wonder about something.
The devil disobayed a direct command from God Almighty.
He did not do what God wanted him to do. So he did not walk in the ways of the truth any longer.
If I were to disobey an elders command who would I be disobeying.
