Watchtower vid on new headquarters plans

Hi everyone

Many of you will remember the August 15th 2012 Watchtower article in which Guy Pierce admitted that the Governing Body was uncertain of Jehovah's will regarding the plans to move the World Headquarters upstate, but were pressing ahead anyway.

You'll notice there's no narration, just images of the site put to music. Ducks fly across the lake, bulldozers shift soil, and people wave pencils over previously-done drawings. The iPad makes another fleeting appearance, despite being frowned upon for use in the meetings.

I suppose it's a smart move not adding a narration. That way they don't have to explain how millions of dollars in donated money is being wasted on nothing more than a real estate enterprise that allows them to liquidate their lucrative Brooklyn property portfolio.

So, from the WT's point of view, "What was the point of that video?"

Seriously, it was very nearly 100% devoid of any meaningful content at all!

Who is going to watch it (besides us evil apostates) and why should they care?

What message do the GB or whoever it was that decided to make this well-produced, but empty-headed video intend?

It was all, "Hey guys, look what we're doing! We're playing with our toys in the dirt!"
