So... I am relatively new to TTATT... but since I am still IN, I can actually get the responses from actual hearing JW's about this...
So their responses have been almost exclusively either laugh very hard when they see it, to thinking that "deaf people are weird" (their words, not mine)...
I asked a sign-language congregation hearing JW, and he said that deaf people do things very explicitly, but that in Mexican sign language and in others (look at the same videos but in other sign languages)... it is not as explicit with the faces as ASL. I confirmed that.
This is a priceless reaction: When I told him, wow, I would not like to give a talk in sign language that relates to sex. For example, I would hate to mimic oral sex on a guy (since I am a guy).
His response?
"You need to be sufficiently humble and recognize that Jah is using you to transmit this important and serious information!"

Well folks you have an ASL interpreter right here and I can translate both videos for you.
The first video will be hard for me to translate because it skips a lot and her hands go out of camera range but I can clean it us for you all and hopefully make more sense then the captioning.

IloveTTATT: That brother is somewhat right about ASL being more explicit, BUT the deaf people I work around everyday are NOT that explicit. In fact most deaf people will not use that sign for masturbation around hearing people because it is too graphic. Believe it or not but there are other signs for masturbation that are not as graphic. Even when I'm interpreting and this topic comes up I always spell out the word and let the deaf person tell me what sign to use.
ASL is a visual language, but it's not as visual/explicit as you would think.

Why do you suppose the Governing Body were so sexually explicit in the sign language when they didn't have to be? Maybe they got some sexual tension releases latter after repeated viewing? I'm thinking this is as close to porn as the Governing Body gets maybe they even have a crush on the brothers(unconsciously of course)? I wonder why they didn't use a sister to sign instead of just brothers?

I've been saying it's this explicit because all JW's are so repressed this is how they get their kicks....like you said this is the closet thing to porn for a JW.
In all honesty I have no idea why they are this explicit. In my professional opinioin it is uncalled for. I've talked to a lot of deaf people about this video and yes they find it funny but at the same time they are disgusted by it because the ones I talked to said it makes them feel like the JW's are mocking them. I myself feel the same way.
