ripvanwinkle --- I was brainwashed from reading the magazines. How scary is that -- so because of my bum history I would warn them to research everything they read especially the religions own info.

Emery --- They won't like your comment but that's great. I will always keep that one close at hand but have to be ready to give examples.

fakesmile --- No, I am not a JW nor in the witness pro. program. Like your user name. Is it because you're still a JW or work for a dentist where all the employees have the most beautiful teeth.

Log --- That is GOOD --- I mean bad but good question. I think they are oblivious to this.

Christ Alone --- Love all this scripture (important to use w/them in my opinion) and have copied. Thanks for all your effort. Your name says it all --- I'll use that line, too.

    BigMac --- huh?

Perfect1 - Now that response should make them think I'm demonic --- love it!

Nugget --- Great closing line w/your comment. Need to say it verbatim.

Serein --- Good Samaritan -- LOVE this! I can hear their response now about only Jehovah reads the heart discrediting the good guy.

    RubaDub --- NOT!

Kurtbethel -- Now that comment should hurt! I need to go back and read your post. I jotted something down and can't read my notes.

Nambo -- you know your facts and I can't remember! I should know this. I think your 2nd point would be a good one for me to ask. John 6? Need to look it up to get a clue. You're killing me here.

    DesirousofChange -- I concur w/you re/Cedar's great question.

LiedtoNoMore --- I think you should be on the Gov. Body.

exwhyzee - great conversation ideas to jot on index card/seriously.

Cedars --- you get a GOLD STAR! Thank you so much.

Laverite - What a great way to introduce them to JWN. You are good! I'm going to spread the good news of JWN.

    Scully --- be back.

Thank you all so very much and you're the BEST!

Lozhasleft -- sorry I typed "Log" instead of "Loz" above. I recall yrs. ago having a conversation w/a individual about shunning her very own daughter and she said it was for her own good. I think they've seen so many cases where people cave and return to the cult just to have a semblance of family.

They feel proud of their strength when destruction occurs w/ex-members. Sick!

Sparlock --- EXACTLY! How unscriptural for witnesses to do this.

fedup -- one great avatar! Wish I had it to send out as an email to my friends. W/Twizzard has a great name for ole Rutherford -- I think it's Boozerford. Funny!

Adding to "christ alones " # 4 suggestion ( Isa.43:12 ) ,why does Acts 11:26 record " it was first in Antioch that the disciples were by divine providence called christians" , not jehovahs witnesses.

Scully --- Fortunately, I'm not around them enough to hear comments other than family member talk. They seem to really be on guard about only being positive of those inside and make everything look good, ya know? I think it's a training manuever. A witness yrs. ago used to tell me to not discuss anything negative or bad about the witnesses to my husband and other unbelieviers. I couldn't believe I was to live a lie like this! Anyway, It's very difficult asking questions and not sound critical of the cult and it's followers.

Hope this made sense. I need slepp. You are right about calling them out on it when and if it happens. I think they're very cautious when they know you think they are the worse example of Christ's followers on the entire earth --- well, maybe not the absolute worse but not good.

smiddy --- is this term Jehovah's Witnesses used the same way as Baptists, Methodists, Presbytarians, SDA's and is not meant to detract from referring to them as Christians?

    Thanks.

Did you know that watchtowers have a strong pagan connection, and that there is not one single example in the Bible of a faithful servant of God using a watchtower icon as a symbol of his religious beliefs?

Yet JWs live and die by what the Watchtower (the Society)tells them.

Of course the term "Jehovah`s Witnesses" is used by them to differentiate themselves from apostate religion, namely all of christendom When they adopted that name(,from a 13th century catholic monk ) in mid 1930`s I don`t think the name YAHWEH was widely if at all accepted.Yet the watchtower is on record as saying yahweh is probably the more correct pronunciation.

However my point is the jewish people before jesus never identified themselves by this name and jesus when he was on the earth never instructed his listeners to identify themselves in such a way.

It took an uninspired religous sect run by imperfect people to interpret the scriptures that way to infer God must be dealing with them exclusively. And this 2000 years later.
