I think it's a little early to get on Romo. The Cowboys almost beat themselves with penalties caused by the offense line. The C'boys are overdue for a decent season.

I consider Phillip Rivers to be an ass-bag. A completely arrogant pompous prick. Not to mention he always seems to beat the Colts, but then again The Chargers beat us a couple years ago with Billy Volek. Then again, he chokes in the big games (except against us).

Aaron Rodgers at least has a Superbowl ring.

Romo, on the other hand, .........has a wedding ring from his hot wife.

Incidentally, I was responding to the question about why people don't like Romo. I didn't think it was to address every QB who chokes under pressure.

He did fine last night. He successfully got them out of a third and long by running around the backfield avoiding tackles before he passed. Looked pretty cool to me. Shades of Joe Montana.

Danny White was a Super Bowl winning punter and as QB did get the 'boys to the NFC Championship.

if you mean Super Bowl ring, I think he got one in 77. He was the punter/backup QB.

He took over as QB when Staubach retired, got the Cowboys to the NFC championship a couple of years in a row, maybe three, but could not get em into the Super Bowl. As such, despite his record, and being a great punter, he's known as the QB that couldn't get it done.

Romo, despite being a darn good quarterback, will have to win a Super Bowl to be considered anything more than an also ran. At least White made it deep into the playoffs. Romo has yet to do that.

Instead of shades of Montana, Romo reminds me more of Brett Favre. Not a bad thing, considering their O-line is swiss cheese. Gotta be able to move around and make plays. Downside to that is sometimes he'll force it and cause a turnover...just like Favre.
