Remember these are the same people who would probably parachute drop crates of Awake! magazines asking, " Is your food safe? " into Ethiopia. Or ask you to lose your job to go to a DC while they sit on piles of money Scrooge Mc Duck style. Don't forget that the FDS has no problem letting a speaker in your congregation talk about oral and anal sex in front of your children. That pissed me off when some moron took it upon themself to educate my child. They are that out of touch!

To credit them with forethought about the consequences of their products is to over-praise them. You pay them far to high a compliment when a more accurate take would be they pump out these warnings with little regard for reputation and much higher regard for repression.
Keep the kids - especially the deaf ones - from playing with their genitals - they might find it too pleasurable and not take serving the Watchtower so seriously.

Yup. They ARE that out of touch.
As XBeHere said, after 5 years in the ivory towers of Bethel, most people tend to forget what the real world outside is like.
Even worse if one is one of the Gov.Bod members, who's PAID - er, so to speak - to keep good little JWs separate from the big bad scary world.
The 'exaggeration' that TylinBrando touched on [] is another factor. Their brains run in the "Armageddon" rut - every earthquake is "a sign of the time of the end"; every terrorist attack means the nations are poised to bring down the "Great Tribulation" upon the JWs and the Watchtower Society...
Clearly they've bought their own 'confidence' game... Their own "con".
