I've stood at the top of Mount Palomar in 6 inches of snow on a camping trip and looked down and saw oranges on trees in groves, people surfing in a warm ocean, the Coronado Islands and Tijuana Mexico and said to myself, "where else in the world can one do this?"
We have the highest mountain range in the lower 48 States (the Sierra), the biggest mountain in the lower 48 (Whitney), we have the biggest ocean coastline, the best weather, the harshest desert (Death Valley), the mildest desert (Mohave), some of the best skiing (Tahoe, Mammoth Lakes) and the freaking WORST GOVERNMENT in the UNIVERSE!
We also have San Francisco, which I hope people won't hold against us.
