Ever see those complete airheads that get to travel the world looking for the wild hot spots in all the exotic locations. Bam! That would be it baby! E channel.

Absolute airheads!!! and they get to travel the world and get paid for it too. It's a wonder their implants (men&women)don't explode from all that high elevated plane travel.

Except my focus wouldn't be the "Hotspots." Never was one for the "night-life." My focus would be more like National Geographic centric.

I have been a radio announcer since the late 1970's.
    It is my dream job.

I enjoy the "toys" in the studio. Music is a most wonderful thing.
    I love music.
I enjoy playing your favorite tunes for you.
Trying to make your day just a little better.

Years ago, we (radio industry) had a promo that said,
    "radio...the soundtrack of our lives....."
    I still have that tape.

When you're lonely, you can always turn on the radio.
Well, USED TO, you could do that.

But today, radio pretty much sucks in my opinion.
No personality, it's all driven by money.
We can't play what you want to hear anymore.....
we have to play what some guy in New York tells us to play.

We can't even play with the "studio toys" anymore,
as the entire station is automated. Run by the computers.

I haven't worked in radio for sometime now.
    I miss it.
    This WAS my "dream job".

    Remember Wolfman Jack?
I got into radio, inpart, because of Wolf.
    Wolf was one cool cat.

Radio today is owned by large conglomerate corperations
who care nothing about music, talent, or people.
    All they care about is.....money.

    Money is important,
but the "personal touch" is long gone.
Radio stations today are no more than juke-boxes.

At 2am, if you were lonely, the flip of a switch or
the turning of a knob, automatically put you in touch
with your "friend of the airwaves".

The DJ made you feel good with his/her
patter (talk) and the music he/she would play.
But sadly, this has all been replaced by computerization.
    Money-hungry corperations.

My "Dream-job" doesn't even exist for me anymore.
Since I was a child, that's all I wanted to do.

Not many people in this world live their dreams, most people get stuck in a rut and never get out. They waste their life and their talents "just getting by", and that's not living...Living is going for your dreams and making them come true.
