it’s impossible to voice an opinion or ventilate feelings within the wts
Given this reality, are you optimistic that the WT organization will change for the better?

Welcome ....This is the place to vent...To me it has become the family the Watchtower
stole from me,by telling my Daughter,granddaughters,greatgrandson I am evil,because
I didnt see Jesus come invisably in 1914.. Hope you come back & share.

A warm welcome mtwtf!
I find no fault with your post, approach, demeanour and strategy.
Just the opposite in fact.
Awesome gift you have there of presenting clear explanations along with vivid and powerful metaphors.
(Books and videos in the making? Some day?)
Possibly you have been able to absorb the good from those around you, whilst inwardly sighing and groaning about the detestable things in Jerusalem (the place which claims it is inhabited, favoured and sponsored by God).
Please stay true to yourself and your strategy.
And please stay and post here on JWN. Hell knows, we need more of your sort at this great place of freedom and growth...
BTW more than 3 years after leaving I am still venting against the Pharisees and Sanhedrin.
At the same time I also feel an incredible sense of peace...
A heartfelt Welcome , and vent away.
the Watchtower Corp. employs a totalitarian modus operandi that silences
all dissent and examination , thereby protecting the faith from ever having to defend itself
Welcome! You can share as much or as little about yourself as you want. I started out not saying much but now that I'm 100% out I tell probably too much
Good first post
I do agree and in a way my sabbaticle was only three months and I couldn't go back to the BS. If all left for a year 75% would never go back. Why do you think they make is so urgent that you go to ALL the meetings? They know this too
I like you right off. Welcome. I would love to have a lively conversation with you some day.
I am inevitably tied to the WTS as my husband is a witness. This place is very much my life-line, as I get to express the full breadth of my thoughts, my feelings. I simmer at Meetings.
You might just find as the dam is breached, that you can no longer hold back.
It took me a while to figure out what you meant by BG. You mean Big Government, don't you? I agree. The WTS is a large bureaucracy, practically self-maintaining. Rigid. Inflexible. It's also stuck in a tangle of its own doctrines. There is no dignified way out without admitting they were w...w...w....wrong.
A church with similarly divergent doctrines went through a painful transformation as they came to terms with their own history. I'm talking about the World Wide Church of God. It cost them dearly in membership. But at least the leaders sleep the sleep of the innocent. Or at least the honestly reformed.
"Herds of elephants may be in the room, but their presence cannot be acknowledged."
Welcome. Interesting observations.
What do you hope to achieve? You admit to being somewhat pro-WTS, and want to see it improving, yet admit that the basis for the religion, its eschatology is flawed. What then is the point, and why not just join another religion?
Welcome Daze!
Loved your geological analogy, very good!
That which is broken cannot be fixed.
What do you mean by BG? Clue me in!

00D, Im guessing she means Babylon the Great.
