How about, no...
And when you send in your checks, do not write 'for Nepal Relief' on the memo line.
Watching that video Hurricane Sandy you will notice they only give Aid to fellow witnesses .
3000 JW`s to 350 homes , all associated with the congregations .
Why would they assist worldly people , Satan `s system , who are going to be destroyed by God in the big "A" ?
smiddy
If they do it will be minimal assistance.
And if they do, they will pour more money into making a self- congratulatory video about it.
They only help jws...and by association any non-jw spouse. All other non-jws should apply to their religions and/or government arrangements
Are there jw Nepalese?

The Constitution of Nepal prohibited proselytism. Anyone found propagating a so-called foreign religion was liable to seven years’ imprisonment, and a person who joined such a religion could be given a three-year jail sentence along with a heavy fine. So witnessing had to be done cautiously. The house-to-house ministry meant calling at a home, then moving to another area and making a call there. Understandably, informal witnessing played a major role in spreading the good news.

Nepal—The Mountain Kingdom
The Kingdom of Nepal is unusual because it is one of the few remaining monarchies in the world and also because it is, not a secular, but a religious kingdom. Nepal is the only Hindu state in the world. The majority of its 20 million inhabitants are Hindus.

A few days later, the couple attended a meeting of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Kathmandu and were very impressed by the clean appearance of those in attendance. They observed the same brotherly love and happiness they had seen at the meetings in France. They also noted the unity of the Nepalese people present, although these had come from different castes. Now they were convinced that this must be Jehovah’s organization.
For the roughly 2000 JW's in Nepal, I can imagine that Watchtower will try to milk between half a million dollars and two million dollars out of the European and United States members.
One of the ways donations sent to the branch offices of Jehovah’s Witnesses are used is to relieve victims of disasters. (Acts 11:27-30;2 Corinthians 8:13-15) Since the work is performed by unpaid volunteers, the funds that are allocated go toward actual relief, not administrative expenses. We are careful with all donations.—2 Corinthians 8:20.
From their own words, ONE of the ways money is used is to relieve victims. If the Kingdom Halls are damaged, they will get the buildings back up. They will offer to help these victims some. I could imagine some $300,000 being spent. The rest goes in their pockets.
And I love how they brag that funds go toward actual relief, not administrative expenses. They brag by mentioning that the workers are unpaid volunteers. Yeah, the goodness of people keeps expenses down. And all this means is that any money that finds it's way to relief has little administrative expenses attached. They don't mention how much money the disaster raises and how much is spent on actual relief.
I am sorry. This is a sore spot for me. Good people want to help and Watchtower makes it a cash cow.
I wonder how many here donate to disaster relief or for the poor and understand that only a small percentage of that actually makes it for that purpose. The Catholic Church makes those funds available to support their Fathers, bishops, cardinals that don’t work. The Salvation Army is much worse since they also use the donations to support the hourly wages of their workers. The evangelicals use their donations to increase their appearance on television. These religions file this money under operational cost.
So all in all, even if the WT uses donations to help their members, then the donations are only used for that purpose. Can your irreversible hatred say that?
Not to mention other religions that support their own by extending a helping hand to them only.
MDA announced that Jerry Lewis was stepping down as host of its annual Labor Day telethon, the marathon TV event he had made his personal showcase, soap box and sentimental journey for 45 years. Why, because MDA got tired of having to give Jerry Lewis 20% of what they raised for Muscular Dystrophy to him, plus people had found out and started donating less.
