Everything is going bad.

I just went up to see my friend who was in a care center. I went in his room and he was dead, I had to call the nurse who said she was with him 15 minutes before.

I was in WalMart the day before and saw an old school mate who's mother was a JW and he said he had cancer and had two years to live according to the doctor.

My brother-in-law has cancer and has only a few months to live.

My brother has prostate cancer and Parkinson disease.

    Life sure sucks sometimes.

I was in the hospital for a week with platelet problems and blader, and the bill was $75,000.00 before the insurance pays whatever it does. I'm broke with no money.

I guess it could be worse, darn I shouldn't have said that because it probably will.

wow. i'm so sorry. that's tough to deal with.

i wish i could do more than to simply give my condolences. hang in there, maybe someone can point you in the right direction as far as what to do about the medical bills like maybe a social worker of some sort.

I hope you get your medical problems resolved. It stinks to be sick, especially when the medical establishment seems intent on bankrupting you to boot.

Ken P (Decided)-Wow! What a sad and shocking series of events you've just been through. I am very sorry on the loss of your friend.

And on hearing the news about the JW's son who has cancer, your brother-n-law's cancer and your brother who has prostate cancer and Parkinson's.

It can be overwhelming and disheartening that so many people you love are ill. I cannot imagine how difficult it has been for you.

I hope that you are feeling better after your hospitalization. I don't think you have to worry about the hospital bills. You said 75,000 before your insurance, and if you haven't any money, you don't have to worry about co-payments-if there are any-just call the hospital and speak to the billing dept and social worker if necessary.

Please don't worry about things that you have no control over. Stress only increases and exacerbates illness, but serves no good purpose.

Yes, Ken, it could always BE worse, but you've just been through a lot and I hope things WILL BE BETTER for you.

Worst thing is that all of the bad stuff seems to happen at the same time. It can be overwhelming.

So sorry you have been hit with all that bad news at once. It is hard when you are low things keep coming at you from all directions. These things come in cycles but hopefully nothing else can happen and the healing process can begin giving you an opportunity to recover.

A scientist once explained that the greatest artists, greatest writers, greatest thinkers, greatest people have all not existed and never will. The probability of any of us experiencing life is so low. The chances of your parents meeting, the number of sperm that dont make it are in the millions, the number of eggs that dont fertilize, the number of pregnancies that dont go full term and then the probability of surviving birth and childhood...

Life is sometimes very hard, but it is important to appreciate the privelage it is if we can.

Please dont think I assume you dont appreciate this or know it already. I also dont mean to sound patronising at all. especially whilst you are feeling down, but I find it helps me keep things in perspective. I hope life gets easier soon x
