Did you know that God will terminate your supervisors employment, and give you their old job?

"And when Human Resources Dep't got wind of the manager showing favoritism to the faithful pioneer on the basis of his religious beliefs, the MANAGER was fired on the spot (to avoid charges of discrimination by other workers, who were given the supervisor's job). The pioneer applied for the ex-managers job, and climbed the ladder of success without even trying!"

And the owner of the company noticed how this JW was moving up the corporate ladder very quickly and was worried about a hostile takeover, so he approached our Brother and offered him 1/3 of his shares of the company to sign an affidavit promising to never try to have him removed as CEO. The Brother was able to retire within 3 years as he decided it would be okay to renig on his promise and go after the CEO position since it feel within the guidleines of Spiritual Warfare since he would be making a monetary donation to the Mother since they represented Jehovah here on Earth. He now is able to perform casual witnessing at several of the Country Clubs that are usually off limits to our preaching work.

What was the experience published in The Watchtower where a third world Jehovah's Witness woman (actually a girl) with no college education was offered a job that paid an outlandish amount of money?

If I recall correctly, the experience was so ridiculous that even The Watchtower stopped using it.

Edited to add that I found it.

    12 THE WATCHTOWER ? MAY 15, 2011

5 What good results there can be when
children are trained to keep a simple eye!
Consider the example of a teenage girl in the
country of Ethiopia. She did so well in her
schoolwork that upon completing her basic
education, she was offered a scholarship for
further education. Having her eye focused
on serving Jehovah, however, she turned
down the scholarship. Soon thereafter, she
received a job offer that would pay her 3,000
euros a month-a high amount in comparison
with the average wages in her country.
But the girl's "eye" was set on pioneer service.
She did not need to consult her parents
to turn down the job. How did her parents
feel on learning what their daughter had
done? Why, they rejoiced with her and told
her how proud they were of her!

    WT SAYS:

"When my father was on his deathbed, two of your fellow believers came and read the Bible to him every day. "

The pioneer asked, "And did they wear name-tags, bicycle helmets, and ride their bikes to visit him?"

Manager: "Why YES! Aren't those Jehovah's Witnesses?"

Brother: "Uh, YES, they are! By the way, does my new job include a key to the washroom?"

The Watchtower appears to make up some of the experiences it publishes.

Yeah, that "experience" is just suspect on so many levels:

    • The next morning, this brother was given the very job that the former director had refused to give him.

Since when are employees "given" a job? Don't they need to apply and have their qualifications reviewed? That's the way it generally works in the real world (instances of nepotism notwithstanding).

In fact, contradicting the assertion that the former director refused to "give" the brother the job, the paragraph intially states that the former director said, "he would never get that position without a college degree." Hmmm, maybe that's because the former director didn't think this pioneer brother was actually qualified for the job!

Does the paragraph ever actually say what "qualifications" this brother had for this undisclosed job? Yes, they are:

    1. He is a regular pioneer
    2. This job will "help him to keep his entire family in full-time service"
    3. He belongs to the same religion as two other, unrelated people that supposedly read the Bible to the current director's dying father (how touching)

Not your typical resume. For goodness sakes, it wasn't even the brother that read the Bible to this man's dying father. It was two completely different people!

As someone that has worked in a variety of business and academic settings, often in a supervisory position involving the recruitment and hiring of personnel, I cannot imagine any job for which these "qualifications" would get anyone seriously considered as a candidate, let alone actually getting a job, instances of nepotism notwithstanding.

In fact, that's what this "experience" stinks of: Nepotism! Be Jehovah's Friend and he'll get you the job. It doesn't matter that you don't have the knowledge, training, appropriate skills and/or experience. Just Listen, Obey and Be Blessed!

Pioneer and Jehovah will get you a job no matter how incompetent you are!

Jehovah, apparently, is the God of HR Departments everywhere.

his supervisor told him that he would never get that position without a college degree.

Two weeks later, that supervisor's employment was terminated,

this brother was given the very job that the former director had refused to give him

He starts off as the brother's supervisor but by the end of the paragraph it's a director they have got rid of!

In Par 11 there is yet another story from Africa of someone losing a purse full of money only to be found by a JW who handed it in, not because they are naturally honest, but because they are a JW and this will make the WTS look good...YAWN

Since this crowd likes tearing apart logical inconsistencies in the latest WT * I'm going to direct you to a thread I started on paragraph #12:

Have fun! * I know, it's like shooting fish in a barrel!

VM44 Oh I love that one! A teenager gets offered a scholarship, turns it down & then gets offered a job paying about $46,000 USD and then turns that down! A teenager. In Ethiopia.

    Meanwhile, what actually happened...

A company is going through a tough time. They want to 'restructure'. A supervisor with a degree and a high wage gets laid off. The company decides the position can be filled by a cheaper non-graduate if they have experience. The 'brother' is in the right place at the right time, applies for the job & mentions they are a JW in the interview. JW gets the job. Praise Jah.

Far more people have won the lottery than had the experience of getting a job they weren't qualified for because their boss got fired.

So why isn't the Watchtower pushing people to buy Lotto tickets?

Because it is a casino religion, offering only a "prospect" of living forever, not a promise, just as when you enter a casino you have a prospect of winning a jackpot.

The untold stories are of the many who were passed up for jobs because their JW lifestyle had them unqualified or unavailable, or the hiring manager may have a dislike for JWs because of a broken family they caused, or because the JW was a compulsive masturbator who even rubbed them out while on the clock. You wouldn't have to make those stories up.
