My mother said it would be easier for them to 'gas' you without any windows!

One day my doctor asked me why there was no windows in the Kingdom halls he had seen, and then he added,'is that so God's Holy Spirit doesn't escape." Rather an intelligent I'd say.

At the Myrtle Beach SC congregation, there were no windows. So when renovating, a sister with interior decorating experience convinced them to try a couple of pictures in the Library only.
Some brothers just thought this was awful. People could look at the picture and daydream instead of listening to the speaker.

Most KH's around here have a few paintings, usually of idyllic nature scenes to remind one of the coming paradise. Often there is one in the foyer, seen as soon as one enters from the lobby, and one in the library. Sometimes there are even murals behind the platform.
One such mural at the Doylestown, PA Kingdom Hall showed rolling meadows with mountains in the background, and a babbling brook - complete with a small chapel, complete with steeple, alongside it. No one noticed the church at first, but it caused quite a fuss and there were supposedly plans to paint over it or otherwise opbscure it. Years after hearing about this, I visited Doylestown and the small church with its cross was still visible.

Seems to me.....
Either:
1. Don't want anyone to see IN
or
2. Don't want anyone to see OUT
Take your pick!
BTW here in Oz we have plenty of windows. But then no-one pays attention to the meetings anyway! During the meetings they take it in turns to visit with each other in the corridors leading to the restrooms!

"PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN GLASS HOUSES SHOULD NOT THROW STONES"
GB1: "By Chum old man, we have been throwing stones at other religions for decades, we've been hounding the U.N. as the counterfeit kingdom. We've been throwing boulders at so called "apostates" for nearly a century! Now that our dirty little secrets have been leaking out...what should we do"???
GB2: "Hear hear, I say we board up all the windows, plaster them over I say. That should fix the problem".
Heh heh heh heh....
