I am curious since there are soooo many here. I know ones may have written disassociation letters and they may have just thrown them out and not done anything.

I wonder how many have written about specific teachings we have and what you have seen in the bible that conflicts with that, and asked why? Or about things we do that from scriptures you've read are wrong and bad in God's eyes?

I am curious if anybody ever got a response to those types of letters and what they said? If you did get a reply, please briefly also state what you had written about.

EOM- Not personally, but here is a link I posted on another thread today from a guy who wrote in about Noah's flood. In the end, the WTS just quits writing back.

Another one is here regarding 607- Letters are linked at the bottom- http://www.607v587.com/

I believe the WTS notifies your local congo if they get letters like this, so think long and hard before doing so. I would be curious if any have sent a letter since the recent article where they wrote: "Hey dumbshits, can't you see we are busy here...We don't have time to answer your stupid questions!"

Maybe they just send them back these days and refer you to the elders.

Since last year (as per the October 15, 2011 Watchtower magazine Questions From Readers article), The Watchtower Corporation will NO LONGER respond to any letters on things that have in print...

If they already put ink on paper, it must be correct because it came from Jehovah... end of story...

If it's a subject they never talked about, you might get a response in about 4 months or so...

I started writing after Ray Franz left in 1980 and stopped after the 1995 generation change. You get nice responses at first then if you persist you get put on a watch list and then censored and then black listed with all privileges removed.

Ehhhh...well...I actually wrote the Watchtower when I was 15 and asked about why 1935 was the date that the anointed stoped being chosen. Was there anything in the Bible that indicated this date? I also asked how if the understanding of the prophecy fulfillments in Revelation was something that we all should believe or if there is a possibility that it is all wrong. Some of it seemed so silly and baseless in applying it to the conventions and resolutions of the 1920's and 30's.

They did not send their reply to me. They sent it to my body of elders along with questions like, "Is he doubting the faithful slave?" and "Is he spiritually weak due to any lapse in meeting attendence or field service?" BUSTED!

My questions did not get answered. I had to retract everything I said. Once I told them I believed in the Faithful Slave and it's interpretations, they let me go and asked me not to write WT anymore. They said something like "They have more important things to deal with than a 15 year old with questions that the Watchtower has already answered." My parents were humiliated. My dad was an elder, and he didn't get into trouble, but they told him that he was not studying with me enough.

The interesting thing is that I just honestly asked the questions. I didn't doubt a thing! I believed it all. I just wanted to know because it all seemed to not have any evidence to support the conclusions.

Like I said, I never got the answers. The letter back from WT went straight to the elders, and who knows what happened to it.

    That's very interesting Christ Alone.

It's funny though, your question about 1935 is talked about in a recent thread of mine, about the resurrection of the anointed. But if you want to read how they came to that conclusion, the 2007 WT 1/1 Pages either 25 to 30 or 30 to 35, the article, "The first resurrection". Which is all speculation and no scriptures to back the crazy claims they make in it.

This was way back in the 90's. I don't have any of those beliefs anymore. I know that they don't hold to 1935 anymore. But the new explanation is no better. I wish I would've come to the conclusion that I have now way back then. Would've saved a ton of heartache.

I wrote to them about the Parousia in 1995. First I sent it to London Bethel with a cover letter from my fellow elders. I got a patronising reply that amounted to "leave the thinking to us and mind your place."

I then sent it to Brooklyn but heard nothing. I wrote back but again no reply. There was a comment in a Watchtower almost a year later that sounded like a dismissive response but by then I was on my way out the borg.

I did also some years back and I got a polite, condescending letter that did not answer my question. But they did remind me that there were more important things to be concerned with.

I wish I could tell you what it was about. But their non-answer led to an intense study of the Bible like I had never done before.

Russell, Rutherford and Fred Franz had kind of a existential spirituality in that if they thought of an idea it became integrated into their religious sphere very quickly.
