@ThomasCovenant - YW bro
@man oh man - It was a slam dunk for them...and a slam dunk for me- a WIN-WIN lol. Although I know they were saddened by my "leaving the troof".
@grumblecakes - I have no idea if they know it is online. Personally I think it would be best if they did not know, as it might make them feel embarassed and I never wanted that.
@NewChapter - Saying prayer over them was the thing that had me the most nervous. I wasn't sure if they would even allow me to do it but I felt that it would be the best thing I could do. It runs counter to their training and preconceived notions and shows them that "apostates" are not wicked evil slanderous people.
@MrFreeze - YW! Toto was awesome, we had FOUR original band members, which was not expected. The Lukester is so talented, and they had a new backup singer that was gorgeous and full of soul- she took lead vocals on one song and I got to shake her hand at the end as I was right at the lip of the stage so it was pretty cool.
@Listener - Yes, I was pretty nervous about that prayer. It was at the end of the whole thing, and I had been waiting soooo long for this day. A year ago I was very close to simply DAing myself, but a couple friends I have great respect for encouraged me to wait. So now, leaving on my own terms, spending my "silver talent" in a way that had some impact hopefully, etc., was gratifying. Re-listening to it yesterday when I was finishing up the edit got my heart pounding again...which I actually didn't enjoy lol. Time heals the wounds though right? And so I suppose this process is giving me one spiritual enema after another so soon my Christian colon will be totally cleansed!!!!! (Ewww.....)
@tornapart - Please let me know if your son sees them- that would be great!
@cantleave - Yeah for some it might as well be literal...uh oh that path is leading towards the kleenex again and thoughts of our dear Brother Oompa. But that's okay too. We honor him and his memory and he will not be forgotten. These online monuments will stand for who knows how many years as proof and documentation of what happened in this "JW dark age".
@JWB - Such a great point- THANK YOU. Idk why I missed that point about Paul being an apostate, that's really good.
@hotchocolate - I appreciate you saying that. I know that many here are not "Christian" anymore, and that's okay. We each have to find our path and stand on our own using the faith we have left- whether it is through science, ourselves, our friends, the Bible, Buddha or whatever works for us personally.
@wannabefree - The seeds are in their minds they have heard at least a little of our arguments and cannot say they never knew.
