DarioKehl: How can anyone in the audience at a CA or DC take this man seriously? I've seen a few of his talks in different states across the USA and my friends always start laughing and say something to the effect if, "What's WITH THIS GUY???"
We had him as our GB speaker the last few DC I attended. There was always a big screen on the guy when he gave his talks.
I could never watch. He is just way to nutty, it's like a caricature of a religious nut only it's real!
Go figure,

Spot on, Christ Alone! That's the first mental picture I had when I met him for the first time. "He's DOE! You know... that Heaven's Gate guy!"
Jimmy Swaggart. Peter Popoff. Oral Roberts. ...those are the "christendom" nutjobs I was trained by our own literature and my family to ridicule and identify as false! When I met Steve a few years ago, I thought to myself, "Oh. My. GOD. ...he's no different than the funny guys my sister and I used to laugh at on the UHF Jesus channels!"
No different! We're the same as they are! This guy was the JUMPSTART to my awakening--no joke. I'm dead serious. He's the reason. Spirit-appointed my ass. This guy is "mentally diseased," not us.

“Who needs Jesus anymore, we have the example of angels”, brother Stephen Lett might as well have said. Lectures like his in the 129 th Gilead Graduation made me change my mind about defending the idea that JW’s are Christians. They, JW’s, also bumped Jesus out of his rightful place as intended by the writers of the Greek scriptures by replacing “Lord” by “Jehovah”.
“Imitate the Faithful Angels”
That was the subject of a talk by Governing Body member Stephen Lett. The angels provide a wonderful example for us. “Everything the Bible reveals about them is worthy of imitation,” Brother Lett said. He then identified four traits of the faithful angels that we would do well to imitate—their endurance, their humility, their helpfulness, and their integrity. The Bible reports that one angel resisted ‘the prince of Persia’—a powerful demon— for 21 days. (Daniel 10:13) That angel
displayed endurance. Christians too “have a wrestling . . . against the wicked spirit forces,” Brother Lett pointed out. (Ephesians 6:12) “Fight hard to continue carrying out your assignment,” he told the students. When Manoah, the father of Samson, asked an angel for his name, the angel refused
to give it. That angel displayed humility. (Judges 13:17, 18) Brother Lett told the students: “When someone tries to praise you or rave about your abilities, humbly direct attention away from yourself and toward Jehovah and his organization.”—1 Corinthians 4:7.
When Jesus was in the garden of Gethsemane shortly before his death, “an angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him.” (Luke 22:43) That angel showed helpfulness. “Prayerfully try to determine what the real needs are in your missionary assignment,” Brother Lett said, “and then with Jehovah’s help, try to fill those needs.” Since only a minority of angels joined Satan in his rebellion, we can say that the vast majority of these heavenly creatures are marvelous examples of integrity.—Revelation 12:4. “Like those faithful angels, resist the Devil,” Brother Lett urged the students. “Oppose him, and he will flee.”—James 4:7.

I'd like to see if he could unhinge his jaw and swallow a sheep whole.

Billy the Ex-Bethelite
I saw Lett as someone completely full of himself. He seemed to think that his personal thoughts came directly from God.
Lett has more smiles and gestures than Jaracz, but underneath both their facades was a deep well of arrogance and contempt for "the laity". Typical of GB 2.0. The give 'lip service' to the notion of loving the flock, but the actions really disprove that.
