sammielee24, from what I've seen as a JW for 25 years it wouldn't matter if he WAS in good standing, nobody would give him a place to live even then.

JWs are all hat and no cowboy = all WT and no Christian!

This happened in New York right? With all the money the WT has they couldn't look out for this guy? On another note like Bats mentioned, he said he "wanted to hurt them the way they hurt me." SMH

This story has the WT phrase, "simplified life" running through my head now.

He will eventually find refuge in a shelter sponsered by a church that Jehovah hates for helping the poor materially and not spiritually..

I would not be surprised. The Watchtower right now is in bed with the UN sister agency in Europe. I do not see problem is Br. Larry Jackson who is a Jehovah's Witness, seek shelter at a YMCA-sponsored facility.

How are the J-Dumbs still a tax-free entity? They don't even help their own members, nevermind helping anyone else.

They're so focused on squeezing every possible penny. Hell, I'm sure there's plenty of destitute blue-collar, non-college-educated JW's that would benefit greatly from having a used circuit overseer car. But what do they do? Set up a shell company solely for the purpose of cranking out every last dime: http://www.circuitvehicles.com/

Several years ago (1980's) there was a sister in Massachusetts with two young sons who lived under a bridge for nine months. She was not a substance abuser, she did not have serious mental issues, she was just unfortunate enough to have a broken marriage.

Nine months! She lived through the winter without proper shelter with two children!

Nine months is close to a full year. I know the winter can be brutal. This must be very shocking and a unpleasant experiences. And now, you the religion that say its only the god's rep on earth? They have the best love within or among themselves. Compare that to YMCA and the Salvation Army.
